Sanctions, watchlist and PEP screening API

Sanctions screening that keeps up with the lists.

Screen every customer against OFAC, UN, UK and EU sanctions lists without handing us your customer list. When those lists change, you rescreen all of them with the same call. The price is set by how many customers you monitor, not the number of checks.

Clean at onboarding is not clean forever.

New names are added to sanctions lists every week. FATF expects designated funds frozen without delay, ideally within hours.

In the US and the UK, a civil sanctions breach does not require intent.

Most screening services charge per check, so teams rescreen quarterly or once a year. The gap between a new designation and your next review is where the risk sits.

  • Hours

How fast FATF expects designated assets to be frozen.

  • Strict liability

The civil standard OFAC and the UK's OFSI apply to sanctions breaches.

  • 60 minutes

How often we check the UN, OFAC, UK and EU lists.

One call to enroll. The same call to rescreen.

  1. 1

    Enroll

Send a name, country and identifier: a passport number or an LEI. The first call adds the customer to your monitored list and runs the first screen.

  2. 2

    Watch the lists

We check UN, OFAC, UK and EU lists every 60 minutes. You decide when a new result is due.

  3. 3

    Rescreen

Send the same request again. It is included in your plan, however often you do it.

  4. 4

    Withdraw

When the relationship ends, remove the customer. They stop counting toward your plan. Audit metadata stays for seven years.

We screen your customers. We don't keep them.

You keep the list. We keep a one-way fingerprint so we can recognize a rescreen and count active subjects, never the readable name or ID number.

Answers you can hand to an auditor.

Every result records the dataset version, when that dataset was published and when the screen ran. A clear result means no possible match in the categories and dataset version on that response.

A clear result is a record of that check. It is not a clearance.

Questions

What is ongoing sanctions screening?
Ongoing sanctions screening checks customers again after onboarding whenever a sanctions or watchlist source changes. It catches people and companies designated after you first screened them.
How often should I rescreen customers?
Rescreen when a list you rely on changes. We check UN, OFAC, UK and EU lists every 60 minutes, and rescreens stay inside your plan.
Why do I resend customers to rescreen them?
We do not keep a readable copy of your customer list. You send the same request again. Your customers' personal data stays in your systems.
Which lists does OnSanctions cover?
The UN Security Council consolidated list, OFAC, the UK sanctions list and the EU consolidated list, plus other sanctions, crime, wanted, regulatory, debarment, PEP and RCA sources. The coverage page lists every configured source.
Does it include PEP screening?
Yes. Politically exposed persons and their relatives and close associates are on the same license. PEP data combines official publisher feeds with Wikidata enrichment.
How is OnSanctions priced?
You pay for each person or company you keep enrolled. Plans start at the 10,000-subject band. Rescreens are included. A one-time onboarding fee applies to each new subject.
What does a clear result mean?
No possible match in the categories and dataset version recorded on that response. It is evidence of a screen at a point in time, not a permanent clearance.
Does OnSanctions replace my compliance program?
No. It is the screening layer. Your team still sets risk policy, reviews possible matches, and decides whether to freeze, report or exit a relationship.

Plans start at $59 a month for up to 10,000 subjects. The one-time onboarding fee is $0.36.
